Green Brook Police Department

The Crime Prevention/Quality of Life Unit has several programs to assist residents and businesses in Green Brook with crime prevention techniques and loss prevention awareness.

Senior Citizen Call-in Program:  This program requires participating Senior Citizens to contact Police Headquarters on a daily basis to confirm that there are no problems.  If a call is not received within a specified timeframe, an officer is automatically dispatched to the Senior Citizens residence to ensure their safety and welfare.  Interested Seniors may join the program by contacting Community Policing Officer Shawn Snyder at (732) 968-1188 or send an email to info@greenbrookpd.org

Vacation House Checks:  Anyone planning a vacation or anticipating an extended absence from their home, can arrange to have their homes checked by a Police Officer periodically during that absence.  A short form is required to be completed with contact information and emergency contacts.  For more information contact Community Policing Officer Shawn Snyder at (732) 968-1188 or send an email to info@greenbrookpd.org

Home Security Survey Program:  This program will help residents make their homes "hard targets" for burglars.  A trained Crime Prevention Officer will conduct a security survey of the home to identify weaknesses in the home's security protection.  The Officer will look at everything from landscape and lighting design to window and door locks and make recommendations to remedy those problems identified.  You can also obtain literature on conducting your own Home Security Survey.  For more information contact Community Policing Officer Shawn Snyder at (732) 968-1188 or send an email to info@greenbrookpd.org

Bike Registration Program:  This program enables residents to record bicycle information with the Police Department in case this bicycle is lost or stolen.  This program is extremely useful in identifying and returning a child's bike should that bike be lost or stolen.  A short form is required to be completed and a registration number and sticker is provided to the participant to be placed on the bicycle.  For more information contact Traffic Officer Don Obley at (732) 968-1188 or send an email to info@greenbrookpd.org
